Giclée: Giclée is a French word meaning "little spray". This is a type of printing process whereby a very fine spray of archival pigmented ink is used to create the print, which is done on English watercolor paper. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist. The edition of each print is limited to 220 prints. The type of paper and printer used is chosen carefully and individually for each image in order to enhance the look of that image and come as close as possible to the original painting. The usual size for our giclée images is 15" X 20", however they can be printed in a larger size (approximately 20" X 26") depending on the image. Any print can be hand embellished for an additional fee. This is where the artist adds paint or pastels to the print to create an "Original" print. Each print is hand signed and numbered by the artist and comes with a certificate of authenticity. |
